1:00 p.m. (EDT) The Mechanics of Suck, Swallow, and Breathing
Kathleen Ott, M.S. CCC-SLP, IBCLC
This session will explore the mechanics of an infant’s suck, swallow, and breathing pattern. We’ll discuss an overview of the anatomy and physiology involved and tips to maximize an infant’s swallow coordination and safety during both breast and bottle feeding. There will also be time for questions and answers.
